The Alexander Group has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Alisha Hathaway, a veteran business leader and expert in executive recruiting, client relationship development and management and thought leadership.
Hathaway has a long career in advising executives, possessing deep relationships with C-suite executives and thought leaders in Fortune 500 companies, global media and non-profit organizations. At The Alexander Group, which expands to its seventh office location with her hiring, Hathaway will lead searches for professional services firms, media companies and nonprofits.
For more than 20 years, Hathaway has built a robust career advising and assisting leaders to identify business challenges, building high-functioning teams and leadership strategies, including succession and executive assessment.
Prior to joining The Alexander Group as a Managing Director, Hathaway was with Russell Reynolds Associates, advising clients on leadership roles, including CEO, CMO and COO in professional services, media and technology, social impact and other mission-driven organizations.
Before her recent career in executive search and advisory work, Hathaway served as Vice President of Integrated Media Programs at CNBC where she worked with some of the world’s most impactful companies and organizations. There she built the company’s thought leadership powerhouse, anchored in impactful marquis events and councils.
Prior to CNBC, Hathaway was recruited to The Wall Street Journal as Global Vice President of Executive Conferences and Events to lead strategy, business development, sales and marketing and grow their hallmark leadership councils; CEO Council, CMO Network and CFO Network. Earlier in her career she founded a company focused on helping clients with sales, marketing and communications consulting and business development.
Hathaway’s early career was with The Atlantic Media Company as Managing Director and Publisher where she was responsible for more than $100 million in revenue. She led a team that produced the highest revenue and profitability year in the company’s history.
“Alisha’s mix of expertise in people, strategy and process make her an exciting and unique hire for us,” said Amanda Brady, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of The Alexander Group.
